Who Are You In Christ
What Does the Father Think of Me?
A Truth to Hold On To:
Your identity in Christ will never be defined by the world.
The world says:
• You are your job.
• You are your past.
• You are your performance.
• You are your mistakes.
But Jesus says:
“I make all things NEW — including you.” (Revelation 21:5)
Unidentified
YOU ARE NOT…
Your past.
What people have said about you.
What you’ve said about yourself.
A job title, a degree, or a relationship.
In Christ, you are made NEW. (2 Corinthians 5:17) You are a child of God. (John 1:12)
What the Father Thinks of You
1. God has a plan for me.
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’” — Jeremiah 29:11
Confess: “God has good plans for me. My future is full of hope and peace.”
2. God knew me before I was born.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” — Jeremiah 1:5
Confess: “I am chosen and known by God. I am not an accident. I have a purpose.”
3. Nothing can separate me from God’s love.
“Nothing… will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:38–39
Confess: “I am loved completely. God’s love never leaves me.”
4. God will never leave me.
“The Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6
Confess: “I am never alone. God is always with me.”
5. I am valuable to God.
“Look at the birds… your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they are?” — Matthew 6:26
Confess: “I matter to God. I am precious in His eyes.”
6. God cares deeply about me.
“Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
Confess: “God sees my worries and cares about every detail of my life.”
7. God strengthens me.
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength… they will run and not grow weary.” — Isaiah 40:31
Confess: “When I’m weak, God gives me new strength. I will not give up.”
8. God’s grace is enough for me.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
Confess: “God’s grace covers me. His power works in my weakness.
9. I am not forgotten.
“If a man has 100 sheep and one goes astray… he goes after the one.” — Matthew 18:12–14
Confess: “Even when I wander, God comes looking for me. I am not forgotten.”
10. I am empowered by God.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” — Ephesians 3:20
Confess: “God is doing more in my life than I can even imagine.”
11. I have power, love, and a sound mind.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
Confess: “I do not live in fear. I have power, love, and a peaceful mind.”
Final Encouragement:
Whenever you feel weak, lost, or confused — go back to the Word. The Bible is not just a book — it’s your lifeline. Every verse is God reminding you: “You are mine.”
